Mark has been a qualified coach since 2001 having coached different age groups within the EBL. He has been involved with basketball since the early 90's and is well known as a member of the Leicester Riders having undertaken different roles and responsibilities within that organisation.

Robert played basketball to a high standard at school in the starting five that got through to the semi finals of the national under 18's. He also represented West Sussex at basketball, football and cricket. Robert comes to Coalville after 3 years as Team Manager of the Leicester Beauchamp Cannons in the National League U16's and U18's.

LUKASZ BOLDA

Prior to coming to England Lukasz played most of his basketball in SALK (Basketball Amateur League) in Slupsk, Poland. He then moved to Erkabud where he played from 2002 through to 2006. With his good fundamentals Lukasz brings a different style of play to the Cougars.

At 6' 4" Paul can play both the shooting guard or small forward position. Paul's basketball background is mainly local league but showed great potential to play at a higher level. Paul is currently playing for the local league Bosworth Blazers in the Leicestershire Basketball League.

Mark is an assist first Point Guard with a National League 10 assists to 3 turnovers ratio. Mark has played under Coach Mark Ellis at the Leicester Colts and was also part of the Worcester Wolves Academy and played for the Worcester Wolves II in their EBL team for three years.

At 18 years old Gareth combines his Cougars playing duties with his gap year job as Press Officer and Community Coach for the Leicester Riders. Gareth played National League basketball from Under 14 through to Under 18, for Leicester Beauchamp Cannons Basketball Club.

MACIEJ KRZYKOWSKI

Maciej is currently the only player to make the step up from one of the Cougars local league teams. The Polish forward is an athletic player who is very passionate about basketball and the Cougars as he enters his forth season with the club.

Ian joins Coalville Cougars from the Burleigh Bucks playing in the Leicestershire League. Standing 6' 6" tall Ian makes up for what he lacks in finesse with his amazing work rate. Ian also had a brief spell with the Derby Storm National League team in 2006/07.

JOHN SMITH
Center

Standing 6' 8" and weighing in at 20 stone, Smith has earned himself the nickname 'Beast' on the court, although the personable South Carolina native is far from that off court. John has vast European experience and is a total team player with a great work ethic giving 110% all of the time.

ADRIAN STEEPLES

Adrian plays an up-tempo game with a high level on intensity on defence. He has previously played for the Cougars at local league level and also brings some EBL experience with his most recent being a period with Wellingborough Phoenix.

Martin has National League experience after playing for Birmingham, Mansfield Giants and last season helping the Leicester Warriors gain promotion to EBL Division 1. Martin also represented Great Britain Maccabi men's basketball team in 2008.
